We are the Great Harvest Bread Co and we are "Bread Heaven."   The aroma of our freersh baked bread draws people in for a free slice.  Not just a set of words but the bar we set for everything; we live by this mantra.  We are defined, first and foremost by our core product, out bread.  It is special and we do it right. From the very start when we hand select our wheat from the Golden Triangle of Montana, the best wheat source on earth.  To the time that wheat arrives, at locally-owned stores, where it be stoned milled into fresh flour on-site then baked into phenomenal breads every day from sratch. The wheat is freshly milled in the bakery for superior flavor and nutrition.  Every loaf is made with simple ingredients in tempting combinations of flavors and textures.  We bake bread the slow way, without shortcuts, so it will taste better than any other.  We continue to do it right until the special moment when our fresh baked goods are cheerfully passed over the to our customers - who become lifelong friends of Great Harvest.  This is...Bread. When you order a sandwich at your neighborhood bakery cafe, you get fresh, real food, made by a real person who is happy to make it for you.  The outside of your sandwich will be as good as the inside.  It will be served on bread that is not just fresh baked, but also freshly made from fresh ground flour - instead of frozen, mass-produced dough.

Why is whole grain so good?

A whole grain is any grain (not just wheat!) which maintians all three of its parts:, the ban, the germ, and the endosperm.  Keeping all three parts of the grain means that you keep all of the beneficial components the whole grain has to offer.  Our fresh ground whole wheat flour retains all the protein, fiber, vitamis, minerals, anitoxidants, and phytochemicals that are naturally found in the whole wheat kernel.  We don't remove anything.  There is no additional processing to the fresh flour after it is ground on-site at your local bakery cafe.  Because  freshly milled, whole wheat tastes phenomenal, and fresh whole grain foods and other plant foods that are low in fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease and some cancers.  We use premium wheat bought from family owned farms located in the finest wheat growing region in the world -- Montana.
